Special Characteristics: 
Medium size and lyre-shaped horns; coat colour is white and black in speckled or patchy pattern; some Djali populations have been influenced by the neighbouring Sokoto Gudali breed in relation to the seasonal migrations of the Fulani pastoralists (Felius, 1995).
Main Location: 
Found in the river basin of the Niger, throughout north-eastern Burkina Faso, the south-west corner of Niger and neighbouring areas of northern Benin and north-western Nigeria.
Origin: 
These are the Nigerian Fulani that descended from a mixture of long-horned Fulani and short-horned Sahelian Zebu cattle (Felius, 1995).
